  1. Glad to see you running with this idea, Joel (and glad to have had some small part in getting it going). The hooded dummy (love that name) is another good improvement.

    Good Luck,
    Jay

Thanks Jay, I appreciate your support! Keep spreading the word 🙂

  3. I’ve been looking around for something to protect my plug while not in use. Do you have am idea when the ‘hooded’ blank would be available? I think this would be the best option for snowy Ottawa winters.
FYI we just bought a Ford C-Max Energi and are loving the plug-in experience so far!

Just printed my prototype yesterday, added some photos to the blog, and I am now printing a second one.
it takes over 5 hours to make one of these.
Currently I only have orange ABS available, the hooded blank will probably only be available in ABS because of the strength. It is intended to hold the cable too 🙂

Congrats on your Ford! I’m glad to hear they are available in Canada now!
If you pay with paypal, please use USD, otherwise, you can use email transfer and subtract the fee. (typically 1$) Shipping to Ottawa is about 10$ with Canada Post

  4. Joel – I received the plug and it works great! Thanks!. Posted a link to it on an Energi forum, so you may get more inquiries..

What is the width of the flange on the Hook/Hooded Dummy Inlet? I need to make sure it’ll fit in the spot I have in mind…

    • erroneus on October 29, 2013 at 8:58 pm said:

The width is 2-7/8″ or 72mm
As of this writing, I have 1 grey PLA unit an 1 orange ABS unit available immediately, otherwise, it may take a couple days for me to print something else.

Order incoming. I’ll take the grey PLA unit.

  7. Hi!

I bought one of your Tilted Dummy Inlet with steel mounting screws yesterday and I posted your link to this page on an Electric Auto Facebook Group that I belong to and one of the main members said it was difficult for him to figure out what you were selling because he had to scroll down the page first.

Maybe you add a jpeg header at the top of the page that shows your products that you are selling here?, Or make separate pages with each different product and direct URLs ?

There’s no pictures of the products your selling until you scroll down a page.

Not really sure but I have to agree with this other member, when you first get to this page i’m not really sure what you are selling.

  8. cool blog Joel, glad to see you are still in the game….thanks for the link

  9. how do I make your web site think

    1) I don’t want to ship to the US
    2) I want to order 2 delux dummies, not 1.

Sorry, I don’t have enough time to build a proper website and webstore, the “myevblog” wordpress is very limited as to what I can put on it.
Also volumes are very low, I get to emails pretty quickly, so you just need to contact me.

  10. Hi. I’m interested on a Delux Hook/Hooded Dummy Inlet. What’s the availability and, do you have any direct contact info (phone, email)?

    Thanks.

Thanks for making these available. Having this plug makes having an electric car even more fun. The black hooded plug is a great product. Real sturdy, nice design.

Thanks a million! This is a life saver, now I don’t have to open my fence and fight my dog every morning to put the charging equipment away 🙂
